Japanese Outdoor Lighting Brand ‘yomosugara’ Announces 31 August Release for Its “Suiren” Collection

Takasho Digitec Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that the official launch date for the new “Suiren” collection, from its Japanese outdoor lighting brand yomosugara, has been set for 31 August 2026.

“yomosugara” is a Japanese outdoor lighting brand that redefines nightscapes through subtle illumination designed to harmonize with the natural environment. Designed in collaboration with the art and design studio Tangent, the brand creates evocative lighting for gardens and architectural projects.

Following its debut at Milan Design Week 2025, the brand’s first models, “Shobu” and “Kodama,” received widespread acclaim in the hospitality and luxury sectors. Marking the next evolution of the brand, the “Suiren” collection—comprising three distinct models—will officially launch on 31 August.

“Suiren” Collection — Product Overview

Inspired by the motif of water lily leaves floating on a pond, “Suiren” introduces a serene and fluid aesthetic to outdoor spaces. Each luminaire is encased in a clear layer, evoking the transparent, luminous quality of crystal-clear water. By combining three lights of varying heights and dimensions, the collection generates a natural rhythm within the environment, allowing for highly flexible and creative layout possibilities.

About “yomosugara”

The brand name “yomosugara” comes from an ancient Japanese word found in classical poetry such as the Man’yoshu, meaning “all night long” or “throughout the night.” It evokes a time when people spent peaceful nights reflecting on loved ones and the surrounding landscape. yomosugara is an outdoor lighting brand that invites the modern world to rethink how we experience the night.

Inspired by Japan’s iconic natural landscapes and traditional reverence for nature, yomosugara captures the subtle light naturally cherished in Japanese culture—such as the faint glow of twilight transitioning into evening, or moonlight reflecting upon a quiet river. Unlike heavily decorative or assertive Western lighting, yomosugara offers a gentle, humble design that harmonizes with its environment, creating a calming nightscape with a distinctively Japanese spirit.
Designed to seamlessly complement both traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern international spaces, yomosugara is developed primarily for the global market, catering to architects, designers, and enthusiasts of Japanese culture worldwide.

“Shobu” Collection

Inspired by the elegant and dignified form of the Japanese iris (Shobu), this indirect lighting luminaire features a slender, sharp silhouette that stands quietly in its surroundings while emitting a supple, gentle glow. The lineup includes two models: “Shobu Double” (two-light fixture), ideal for illuminating pathways and walkways, and “Shobu Triple” (three-light fixture), designed to add depth and dimension to outdoor spaces.

The “Kodama Garden” model features two luminaires with adjustable heights and orientations; when arranged in series, they create a gentle, flickering rhythm across the landscape. Meanwhile, the “Kodama Floor” model casts a soft, expansive glow—standing as a serene, captivating presence even as a single fixture to bring a calming ambiance to any space.
