LEDIUS outdoor lighting lowvolt system to IoT. Also, joint development of exterior items with Misawa Homes Research Institute was announced.

Expanded Garden Energy Management System “GEMS®”

○ Realization of IoT for lighting with the same simple construction method as the Lowvolt® System
○ By linking with weather information, lighting and drip louver controls are individually optimized according to the installation area
○ “Outdoor Lighting”, “Drip Louver”, “Network Camera”, remote control of everything with smartphone using GEMS® APP

Takasho Digitec Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Wakayama, Kainan; President: Ryosuke Furusawa), in outdoor lighting developed under the “LEDIUS” brand, as an expansion of “GEMS® (Garden Energy Management System)” released in 2017, have developed an outdoor lighting Lowvolt® system utilizing the IoT and will be released from October.
In addition, with Misawa Homes Research Institute, Inc., a think tank of Misawa Homes Group, environmental exterior item “Drip louver ” developed by Misawa Homes in 2017, jointly developed a system that automatically operates in conjunction with weather information, it will be released from Misawa Homes nationwide (excluding Okinawa) from October.
The newly developed system incorporates a GEMS® coordinator into the conventional Lowvolt® system, it is possible to realize IoT for exterior items including outdoor lighting.
By connecting to the Internet, the lowvolt system, which requires no electrical work qualification and is safe, optimizes outdoor spaces and brings new value.

About IoT Outdoor Lighting Lowvolt® System

① Automatically obtains sunset / sunrise information for your area from the latitude and longitude information of the installation location registered with the GEMS® APP.
Light up automatically according to the sunset time, light off automatically according to the sunrise time, are not dependent on the accuracy of the illuminance sensor, which depends on the installation environment.

② Lighting equipment can be controlled freely with GEMS® APP such as brightness, color temperature and fluctuation. Enhancement of discerning performance functions such as grouping of lighting fixtures and favorite scene setting functions. It is also possible to create individual effects for each part, such as calm at the entrance and gorgeous color lighting in the garden.
Voice control is also possible by linking with a smart speaker (Amazon Echo, Google Home, etc.). You can enjoy various garden effects with simple operation from the APP or from the smart speaker.

Existing lowvolt® lights can also be connected to the GEMS® coordinator and GEMS® switcher to enable automatic turning on / off functions according to sunset and sunrise times, and to enable grouping control using the APP.

About Automatic Control System for “Drip Louver”

The drip louver automatic control system jointly developed with Misawa Homes Research Institute can operate the sprinkler, which was previously operated by a timer, at the optimal timing in conjunction with weather information.
Takasho Digitec has been in charge of developing systems linked to weather information based on the “GEMS®” system that automatically controls various exterior items since 2017.
Misawa Homes Research Institute is in charge of the control logic of the weather conditions to be set based on the know-how and knowledge of the design method “microclimate design” based on the local climate that we have been working on for many years.
The two companies will continue to make use of the latest IoT technology to create a richer living environment that is friendly to the global environment and people who live.

ZigBee * is adopted for wireless communication. ZigBee is overwhelmingly power saving compared to other communication standards, and can control many devices (such as lighting equipment) and sensors.
Simply turn on the lamp and pairing with the GEMS® coordinator is complete. Connection setting is easy.

Short-range communication technology based on the international standard IEEE802.15.4
