Takasho Co., Ltd., a garden lifestyle manufacturer (Head Office: Wakayama, Kainan; President: Nobuo Takaoka, Tokyo Stock Exchange: 7590) and subsidiary who responsible for the lighting business, Takasho Digitec Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Wakayama, Kainan; President: Ryosuke Furusawa), as an expansion of “GEMS® (Garden Energy Management System)” released in 2017, utilizing the IoT, we have developed an outdoor lighting Lowvolt® system compatible with the GEMS® APP that enables optimal lighting control based on installation location information, and will be released from (Sat) 1 February.
In addition, cool drop louver which provides coolness to garden by evaporation of water, automatically controlled by a system jointly developed with Misawa Homes Research Institute, a water louver compatible with the GEMS® APP will be released on the same day.
In addition, a “Reliable Support” system for troubleshooting GEMS® equipment involving communications will be released on (Sat) 1 February.. For one year from the initial setting, we will respond to communication problems free of charge.
With this expansion of the GEMS® system, the garden environment has been dramatically improved and communication concerns have been resolved, further increasing the value of the garden in the home.
IoT Lowvolt® Light System “GEMS® Light”
Product Features
Automatically obtains sunset / sunrise information for your area from the latitude and longitude information of the installation location registered with the GEMS® APP.
Light up automatically according to the sunset time, light off automatically according to the sunrise time, are not dependent on the accuracy of the illuminance sensor, which depends on the installation environment.
Lighting equipment can be controlled freely with the GEMS® APP such as brightness, color temperature, color change, and fluctuation.
A selection of lighting functions, such as grouping of lighting fixtures and a favorite scene setting function, are also provided.
Depending on how you spend in the garden and who you spend with, it is now possible to call up a completely different lighting environment with one touch.
Voice control is also possible by linking with smart speakers (Amazon ECHO, Google Home).
Existing lowvolt® lights can also be connected to the GEMS® coordinator and GEMS® switcher to enable automatic turning on / off functions according to sunset and sunrise times, and to enable grouping control using the APP.

Automatic control “GEMS® water louver” linked to weather information
The water louver automatic control system, jointly developed with Misawa Homes Research Institute, is an efficient automatic control system that links watering, which used to operate only with temperature and a timer, to weather information such as temperature, humidity, and wind speed.
With the know-how of “microclimate design”, a design method that takes into account the local climate, we have achieved approximately 75% water savings compared to temperature-only control.
(Calculated from weather data from May to October in Tokyo District Meteorological Observatory from 2014 to 2018).
This product utilizes the latest IoT technology and contributes to the creation of a rich environment that is friendly to the global environment and residents.

One year free support for communication-related problems “Reliable Support”
For one year after the initial setup of GEMS® equipment with communication function is completed, we will provide free support for problems such as communication failures that occurred during use. Specialized operators can provide telephone support, or work staff can visit the site. We also provide consultation during initial setup.
